AFGHANISTAN EMERGENCY EARTHQUAKE and winter APPEAL
To date, four devastating 6.3 magnitude earthquakes have hit Afghanistan, destroying at least 12 villages near the city of Herat.
More than 2,000 people have been killed and 2,100 injured, with complete and partial destruction of 1,320 homes.
Our first responders worked relentlessly aiding with food, water, blankets and tents for the victims.
Living in tents during these brutal winter months will take many lives. We are building housing for single mothers with children to save lives.
Each house costs £3,200 and can accommodate 3 families. BCT and our partners have so far committed to 59 of the 167 houses required to replace the homes that have been completely destroyed.
