Yemen Appeal 2024
It’s currently the world’s worst humanitarian disaster, and yet the world is completely silent. More than 24 million Yemenis - 80% of the population - are in urgent need of assistance.
“It's a living hell for its citizens and their children – honestly”
Sherin Varkey, UNICEF
Sadly below are the current 2024 photos of infants in a struggling hospital in Sana’a. Malnutrition is extremely high and parents cannot afford the cost of the high energy nutrition and medication these babies require for at least 6 months to survive and grow.
International help for Yemen is on the decline.
The ‘2023 Humanitarian Needs Overview For Yemen report’ shows that 21.6 million people are classified as being in acute need, with around 3.2 million requiring treatment for acute malnutrition; that includes 2.3 million children under-five, and more than 1.7 million pregnant and lactating women.
