rOHINGYA cOMMUNITY APPEAL
The plight of the Rohngya people is a desperately sad and forgotten one.
Aid workers who had once all been in abundance have all but disappeared.
Our partners on the ground have been working at Cox’s Bazar, Bangledesh for 6 years.
The shanty homes within the camps are still horrendous, with walk ways crisscrossing with open sewers. The sanitation facilities are still dire, and subsequently the looming threat of disease is always present.
Over the past 6 years, our partners have built toilets and vital water wells, which serve this refugee population, but this is still not enough.
BCT have supported our partners in building a school that has served the orphans of this population for the last 5 years. The school has been a lifeline for these children, giving them a glimmer of hope and some happiness each day as they are fed two meals and given an education.
BCT have pledged their support in the upkeep of the orphan school, toilets and water facilities, but we have been advised by our partners that funds are dwindling drastically. Remaining funding is due to run out by November.
Please help us to continue supporting these refugees whose futures still remain uncertain.
