BCT aids the continuation of local Youth Group in Essex

Every Wednesday, a local Mencap group meets to provide a social environment for young adults (16-30 years) with learning difficulties and special needs. This can include social trips with volunteers to the local bowling alley or other evenings to socialise with friends in a safe environment.

Our friend Sara Suckling, who is the Children’s Services Manager & Bridge Group Leader at Mencap, recently reached out to us as they were in danger of having to close the group due to lack of funding.

We are delighted to have donated £250 towards their Youth Group.

This will enable them to continue running the session each week and provide a vital social arena which they so thoroughly enjoy.
